I just finished my practice K-mod. Since I fixed his soaker, my friend is letting me practice all mods I will do to my gun, on his. I just did a K-mod. I lost count on the balloons. But judjung by the number of packages, and the few broken balloons. It's somewhere between 60 and 70. Man do my fingers hurt. I accidentally purchased 9" balloons instead of 12" one's. That's a big difference. Its taken me two days since the pain in my fingers is emence. I have blisters on both my pinkies. Anyways, the reason I brout this up is, how many pumps do you think I should pump the gun?(I have also frozen the check valve) I was thinking like 25. I just want to know so I Don't destroy my friends gun.

I think... 20 - 25 pumps should work well.

I just finished my second K mod, a CPS 1200(0). 25 baloons, no frozen check valve. <_<

Uhhh, you should consider some reinforcement before trying it. Coat the trigger valve and other valves in epoxy.

No, smudge. 25 balloons isn't even a very large powerful at all. He has 2-3 times as much as you on.

I did some tubing inforcment, I'll do that too, although I don't see how coating the outside will work well.

Coating the outside prevents it from exploding, it would be the same as putt a balloon into a CPS Plastic-Ball chamber - you could blow up the balloon, but only to a certain point, that point is when the balloon hits the inside of the plastic surrounding.

So, an non-epoxy/PL premium coated trigger valve = a balloon being inflated by itself.

A epoxy/PL premium coated trigger valve = a balloon with a plastic casing around it.

See my point? (and Doom's)

:) 65+ balloons is insane (especially since your balloons are a smaller size), good luck. Your going to have trouble getting it fully pumped - thats if the pump/trigger valve doesn't explode, reinforce, reinforce, renforce! Hey, that's funny.

You usually only get one chance to reinforce it, so... do a good job & hope it holds the first time around, otherwise its back to the repair bench.

I've done the 'ol epoxy rutine. I wounder if 65 9" balloons is the same as 65 12" balloons? You would htink that because they are smaller, they would be stretched out more. It was sure hard to get em over the PC.

I would put 60 on mine, but my dad is afraid of freezing that stupid check valve.

It's probably all those balloons you added to the PC.

You increased the resistance, so it makes pumping water into the PC more difficult. Seems like you over-did it.

I have stuff in the article to prevent that. The first time I glued mine it did block the pump. All I had to do was uncrew the screw a bit and then it work perfectly.

With a screwdriver and some muscle. I did it, it wasn't very hard.

I accidentally bought 9" balloons and then ditched them for 12". The 12" are MUCH easier to put on the pc. The 9" would have taken a whole lot longer. I used about 68 balloons for my k-mod. My friend doesn't think that reinforcing the valves is that necessary, but from what ive read here parts could give.

Hey, that's funny., yeah, my friend and I took a while with that, trying to figure out if the section we were cutting was right.
