Hi.

Just wondering, how much would you guys pay for a Super Soaker CPS 1500, brand new in the box?

This is for the UK people only.

SKG Edit: This is your LAST warning. Next time you make a post in all caps, it's a 3 day R/O.

Well in fact a saw a CPS 1500 in a shop (Gadget Shop) for £15 last year. I wish now I'd bought it but I didn't have any money on me.

Condsidering a 4100 is £30, anything under that is good.

You saw a 1500 for £15!!! In the gadgetshop?! Last time I was in there (which was last thursday, in fact...) they only had WW Fireflies at £12 each! I bet you wish you could go back in time for that...

EDIT - Oh yeah, I missed the point... I'd pay £35, definetely, depending on how much cash I had at the time, probably £40.

I saw some WW guns when I went past last week. I couldn't see what they were though. They also had CPS 2700s for £20 at the same time I saw the 1500. I wish I could go back in time. Where was the gadget shop you went in? I saw them in Crawley.

At The Shires in Leicester. Miles away from my house, so no chance of regular checks for new soakers. That was about the first time in a year I'd been in there. A 1500 for less than a 2700? Must be either the number of the name or that the 2700's got a massive reservoir...
I think the WW guns are wrecking the SS market. Last time I went in Geoff's Toys down the road, there was only WW Fireflies and XP85 Triple Shots. But about a fortnight ago, there was three Max-D 6000s, 5 XP310s (Wish to God I'd bought another 310, my current one's knackered, but restoration IS in progress&#33 ;) and some Hydroblades. If the WW series went to Hasbro HQ, there'd be more SS.

You can still find XP 85s? My first gun was one of those, but the seal went on it after a few days. I can still find CPS 4100s, XP 310s, XP 270s, MAX-D 6000s and some of the other MAX-Ds and XPs near me. I've only ever seen any WWs in the Gadget Shop.

The XP 310 is the newest version of the 110, Almost all Xp guns numbers 215 and higher are remakes of the 100's series.
I don't check this forum anymore.

Yeah, but many people say that the XP110 is better than the 310 by the fact that it has slightly greater power, a decent size PC and is very light and well balanced. I have not seen a 110 for sale for at least 5 years. Believe me, I wish I had...

And I can only find XP85 Triple Shots which are THE WORST SOAKERS ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH. Well, I don't know through usage, because I've never been dumb enough to buy a Triple Shot, but read this review on it from iSoaker by Cody C.
The XP-85; capable of shooting 3 separate streams of water at targets directly in front or to the side of the user. When the nozzles are not shooting at multiple targets, the full force of the weapon is turned upon one target.

Sounds good, doesn't it?

Well, the truth of the matter is that this is the worst SuperSoaker® ever!

"What's wrong with it?" you ask.

I'll tell you: The water storage capacity on this blaster stinks! I don't know how much it holds, but it isn't a lot. All that water goes nowhere... fast! The three streams, aren't even close to meeting XP standards! You'd have better luck with a SuperSoaker® MDS than you would with this thing. I heard somewhere that Larami came out with an original XP-85, it was a disaster, so they gave it the triple shot.

Trust me, they should have left well enough alone!
B.T.W; note that not only is it too small, too fragile with a tiny PR, but when you're running low on water (which you always will be) there is no off-setting for the extra nozzles, so you can't conserve water.

It's like the CPS 1-3-5, which was an improvement, but was again very underpowered. The XP85 TS had an output of about 0.5X between ALL THREE nozzles.

Judge's Verdict : : : : :
Sentenced to 500 years in Larami's REJECTS AND FAILURES Box!

I know from experience that the XP 85 is bad. The thing you had to pull to move the nozzles was really stiff (well it was when I was younger) and not much use.

I have used both the 110 and the 310 and I find the 310 to be superior by the extra water capacity, the extra shot time and the nozzle selector.

maybe so, but the 110 is far lighter and easier to use as backup.

thanks for bumping a dead topic.

on topic, I have the 310 and I can probably say it is a great weapon as a primary or as a secondary. it beats any xp I have ever seen and the nozzles give a good selection, although a 4x would have been nice.

For everyone's information... the only model of the XP-85 IS the triple shot. There is no "regular" XP-85.
Whatever music you listen to probably sucks.
