CPS 2100

Post by TheSoakinater » Mon May 21, 2007 9:15 pm

I never see the CPS 2100 mentioned when people talk about the "good" or "powerful" guns. Is it a bad gun? I'm just wondering because I *just* bought one on ebay, and I'm wondering if it measures up to the other CPS guns.

The CPS 2100 is on the lower end of power among CPS guns. Now with that said, a modded CPS 2100 blows most stock guns and some fellow modded guns out of the water. Mid-sized CPS guns such as the 2100, 1200, and 1000 hold the most potential power of CPS's, but are somewhat lacking when left stock. You might get 38ft of range with a 2100 if lucky, but you'd get 60ft with a 21K if lucky.

Welcome to the forums!

What type of games are you playing? With which types of guns? The CPS 2100 can probably hold its own against heavier cannons if you stretch out the tank by conserving water (it doesn't have too large a stream) and use the small size for mobility. It's not too weak, from what I've heard. Far better than modern soakers.

I wouldn't try to excessively modify water guns. They're not designed to be heavily modified, which is why they eventually break down when you do so. Other limitations such as the internal tubing size prevent any real power. I would only do a light K-mod without disabling the pressure release valve; if you need more power, build a homemade. Not much more to say.
