Don't forget to where your helmets, shoulderpads, and kneepads when you use you water guns.

Really, there were squirt guns on that table.

How the heck are a quarter of nine people children?

I mean, really? When I grew up, it was screaming around turns through traffic on your bike, ignoring the fact a car could kill you dead. It was your mom going "Go out and play! Don't come back until dark! See if you can spend the night at your friend's house!"

Not... "LIEK OMG THE SUPER SOAAKEERRRZZZ WILL KEEL YEW!"

Really? How is a Flash Flood going to hurt anyone?

By hitting your eye. 100% chance you will get blinded. Don't forget to get a visor for your helmet!

Gosh they're overreacting. Sheesh, just use common sense to avoid injury. To avoid blinding with water guns just use shades, it's probably bright anyway. With dart blasters and slingshots just "CAUTION: Do not aim at eyes or face."

This reminds me a lot of that CBS Chicago article on Nerf modding.

Off topic: Dangit I can't think of something sarcastic to say.

Well, shades would not have worked so well for my night battle. And the slingshots were there because they were being sold inn states where slinngshots(the dangerous ones were the reason) were illegal.

Don't forget to take you toy slingshot to an out of state gun range, so you dont accidentally commit homicide by foam ball. -I can do this all day

This reminds me of my ancient Nerf Maximizer, which has the best warning statement ever: CAUTION: Do not shoot at people or animals.

Remember kids, modifying Nerf guns are dangerous. The Air Restrictors are there for a purpose!

Edit: I think the Lanard SpeedLoader has that warning too.

I think bringing a battery powered dremel would be easier to bring around with you.
@atvan: I'm pretty sure breaking open boxes of toys and "vandalising" them is 100% absolutely, completely legal. :p

The proper term is fear mongering, plain and simple. Someone needs a big news story that'll attract attention and that does it.

Little off topic, but I kinda just shot a nerf dart 200+ feet flat with my air rifle. Couldnt tell the distance because I couldnt find the dart, but my friend who was standing at a tree (we measured 200 feet) said it whistled past him.

But yeah, sure, wear some safety pads when playin with water weapons! That water could be wet!
