First pry off the round cap fron the front of the pump track. Then take out all the screws from the side of the gun, and remove the 3 screws from the pump handle.
At this point you can pull the side off the gun.

I forgot to mention that there are at least 3 variants of the CPS 2100. Some of them have glued the black cap on the pump track. On these, you will nearly destroy this part of the gut getting it off. If it is just pressed on, you can stick a small flat screw driver under the cap and it will pry off. Getting it back on is an equally good trick.

the part on the front of the nozzle can be pryed off with a screwdriver, but be careful, it can be broken. thankfully, you can make a new one from pvc, there's an article in the repairs section.

EDIT: it's glued on on mine :( hacksaw time!

You can pretty much ignore the times on that, I rarely ever have Xfire on when I play. I should, though.

do you even need the part? I just took it off and left it. It doesn't seem to have made any difference

Its called a pump cap and no, it has nay function on the 2100 except to make it harder to open. If its glued on, then you have to saw it off. I have 2 21000's, one cap was easily pried off, the other one had to be sawed.

The stupid pump cap's purpose is to keep the front part of the pump track together. There are 3 different types of 2100's that I have personally seen and personally worked with. Depending on which one you have will determine how its going to be taken apart. Once you get the pump cap off, your set, take a flat screwdriver and push it into the slit that splits the gun in half, after you get it in, you can force it open easily. What sucks even more is putting it back together. ;)

Edit: I spelled putting ptting

An easy way to tell if the pump cap is glued on or not: just twist the pump cap like a soda bottle cap. If it twists, it's not glued.
