Click on My Controls on the left and then go to Edit Avatar Settings, it will let you change it.

Simple enough, just go to:

My Controls > Edit Avatar Settings

Then choose an avatar, upload one or enter a URL to one.

Never checked the dates, I just saw the huge amount of topics on it
