Has anyone else seen this? though it was converted to Nerf, it looks like it could have potential.

It's not listed on iSoaker but it almost definately predates the Steady Stream (the earliest modern spring blaster) and plus it's primed by pulling back instead of by pump. Because of that however, it looks like its only potential is for nerf; a spring that can be primed by pullback is likely far too weak for a water gun.

Interesting find... I'll be waiting for iSoaker's word on this.

That's definitely an older, spring-based blaster. I remember ZOCCOZ posting about that one once-upon-a-time in a forum long-long ago. :p

I don't have any other info on it and had lost the original link/thread which is why there's no entry for it on iSoaker.com. That said, if that thread is correct and that water gun was released in 1995, then it is not the first spring-based blaster. Larami Inc. had a number of spring-based blasters back in 1988/1989 known as the Power Chargers. Still not 100% sure whether those were the first, though.
