Sweet Deal

Post by Curt » Thu Jun 04, 2009 5:31 am

I think I got a sweet deal on some older super soaker guns (not sure how old) ON CRAIGSLIST. I pick them up in 2 days
4 FOR 10$
All in working order
one looks like an older version of the flash flood
not sure what they are called I looked at chris reids photos hoping for a close up on these guns I found them all but I still could not read anything they had written on the side

seems that the guy that owned them just lost intrest

The "older vesion of the flash flood" sounds like the Max-D Secret Strike.
Current Arsenal: Liquidator, MI Flash Flood x2, APH x2, CPS 1200

Sweet deal indeed. Take a picture of the unknown guns and we may be able to identify them...or browse through the archives here or at iSoaker.com.

Goldfish: Yup, the Secret Strike's top nozzle isn't a full stream but it does resemble the flash flood nozzle.

Personally, I find the fan blast (like the one on the Secret Strike and on many large WW's) to be rather useless. It just doesn't saturate; it's more like mist sprayed to cover more area. Good for amusement park ride lines on a sunny day, but not so much for water wars. Plus the PC's and output aren't too great either; I bet the new SS50 performs better.

Have a look around the iSoaker database, or just online in general to figure out which guns they are. Or you could post pictures or describe them in more detail and most of us can identify them.

The XP 310 is a pretty powerful water gun among the XPs. I think my sister may have had an XP 215 at one point. I don't know about the XP 240, though.

Sounds like a good batch of soakers for a water war. (Provided nobody brings in anything that'll overpower them.)

Yea, good set for small wars, except the 215 won't be able to get too far. Other than that, it should work out well. They're just a step down from today's best blasters, but could still work well with them. Of course, anything CPS will easily overpower them.

The 240's a decent, compact, reliable pressurised-reservoir blaster. It'll lose on power to the Max-D 3000 and 4000, but the 240's valve won't break. They've been a very common weapon of Assassins Guild players.

The 215 is REALLY small. Most water guns the same size are squirt guns, and the 215 will vastly outdo them. However, it loses pretty much anything bigger. It can be had new (at least in the UK), but not that cheap. A weapon for sneaking up on people with, not for open war. Or a water gun you can take everywhere.
I work on Windows. My toolbox is Linux.
Arsenal:
Super Soaker: XP215, 2xXP220, Liquidator, Aquashock Secret Strike M(odded), Arctic Blast M, CPS1200, CPS2100, SC Power Pak, 3l aquapack, 1.5l aquapack
Water Warriors: Jet, Sting Ray M, Shark, Argon M, Tiger Shark, PulseMaster
Others: Waterbolt, The Blaster, Storm 500, Shield Blaster 2000, generic PR gun, generic backpack piston pumper (broken), 3l garden sprayer M, 10l water carrier:
