Nozzle Drilling

Post by CROC » Thu Aug 07, 2008 2:30 am

What size would you drill the nozzle of a CPS 1200 to, to optimize performance? I have searched and searched, but not found anything on this forum.

Also, at 50 balloons, would the PRV need to be disabled?

I would advise leaving the nozzle as it is. The CPS line has I think generally well sized nozzles.

As for the need to disable the PRV, do the k-mod first, then test it out, only then disable the PRV if you need to.
I work on Windows. My toolbox is Linux.

Yep, the common method is to remove balloons until the valve doesn't kick in until the bladder is full.

A drilled nozzle probably won't have a very laminar stream.

If the stream seems to be breaking up soon after exiting the nozzle, try the multi-nozzle mod rather than drilling the nozzle larger. This will be much more convenient.

Usually the PRV needs to be disabled after about 30 balloons, but the way to know is to test as others said.
