Yep, in about 1 hour [it's 10:07 PM here EDT] there will be a total lunar eclipse! The moon is already about 9/10ths gone right now. You know why there is a rare phenomenon taking place right now? The score is 3-0, the inning is 6, and the Sox are on top! B)

Yup and when the sox win, the world will explode and everyone will die.
Edit: Ok so the world didn't blow up. Still.

I heard about this, but still went to bed at my normal 9:00 time. So who else saw it?

And I hate all Boston teams.

I took video/pictures of the end of it, I was supposed to watch it for science, but I think I know what an eclipse looks like, eh. B)

Lunar eclipses are not that special. They happen about once every year and it's just the moon dissapearing then reappearing again. A solar eclipse, now THAT'S impressive.

But you have to note the timing of this one. Not only was it the night that the Sox won, it climaxed almost exactly as the final out of the series was being made.

The next lunar eclipse is in 2007.
Edit: Due to the moons weird orbit of the earth.
