CPS?

Post by Fredcompany » Mon May 31, 2010 10:06 am

My cousin used to have a massive water gun (It was when I was about 7, so it probably wasn't really massive) and he left it at his old house when he moved.
I was just wondering what it was.

It was in spiderman colours (I think it was a spiderman one, but I might be getting mixed up) and it was probably over a metre long. As far as I can remember, it fired quite far.

I was just wondering if it could have been a CPS.

That would be quite good, because it's probably buried at the back of his old garden under a pile of junk, and he could get it, because he only moved about three houses down the road.

I don't think there was ever a CPS released in spiderman livery. But I may be wrong. To my knowledge the only Super Soaker blasters (as opposed to other brands) of about the right size to have had licensing at the right sort of time were the WWF blasters.
I work on Windows. My toolbox is Linux.
Arsenal:
Super Soaker: XP215, 2xXP220, Liquidator, Aquashock Secret Strike M(odded), Arctic Blast M, CPS1200, CPS2100, SC Power Pak, 3l aquapack, 1.5l aquapack
Water Warriors: Jet, Sting Ray M, Shark, Argon M, Tiger Shark, PulseMaster
Others: Waterbolt, The Blaster, Storm 500, Shield Blaster 2000, generic PR gun, generic backpack piston pumper (broken), 3l garden sprayer M, 10l water carrier:

It might not have actually been spiderman - all I can remember is that it was those sort of colours.

Ohhhh, it might have been a WWF blaster, they were CPS technology if I remember right.
Try this link and see if one of these is that gun.

What about the Helix? That had Spider Man coloring once.

Obviously, the Helix is far too recent to be the blaster he's refering to, and I think he's been around here long enough to know that it couldn't possibly be CPS.

You'll probably have to dig up the old gun before you'll figure out what it was. Memories can be foggy, and unfortunately you don't remember enough to narrow it down. If you can, find it and take a photo.

Anyhow, I'm interested in what this is as I get emails every once and a while about identifying old guns. The more I know, the more I can help people find what they remembered!

I'll try and get my cousin to find it then.
