I bought the CPS 1000 today at Canadian Tire. They also had a CPS 1500, but I couldn't buy both, so I went for the CPS 1000. The first thing I did when I came home, was a comparison between the CPS 1000 and CPS 2100. Externaly, the size structure and shape is very similar, exept for the pumping mechanism. The CPS 2100 is just simply a CPS 1000 with a cosmetic change.
CPS 1000 pros and cons over the CPS 2100
pros:
- very powerful. Has more power than the Monsters X, XL and CPS 2100.
- good colours
- easy pumping
- strap
-far distance
cons:
- moderate build. Not as though as the CPS 2100. Doesn't break easy, but is not the thougest soaker either.
- some leakage around the handle. But it can be easily fixed.
I have to say that the CPS 1000 is a good gun. But since I have some bills to pay, I might sell it on ebay. I can also sell it to one of you people here, if you are interested. If you are interested, just respond on this thread.

I own a CPS 2100 and a CPS 1200, and both, especially the CPS 1200, are similar to teh CPS 1000. The CPS 2100 has a larger ouput than both the CPS 1000 and the CPS 1200.
CPS 2100: 8oz./sec*
CPS 1200: 5oz./sec*
CPS 1000: 6oz./sec*
*Measurements from iSoaker.com or Aqua-Nexus.
I like the CPS 1000's colors, but I hate the CPS 1200's colors. The CPS 2100's colors are OK.
The tracked pump on teh CPS 2100 is very convenient, and make pumping much easier.
As for the CPS 2100's lack of strap, adding one is extremely easy.
My CPS 2100 fell down a set of cement stairs, and it just a few minor scratches. During a waterfight, I would lend my CPS 2100 to anyone, because breaking it is very hard to do.
Annihilator, I am interested in buying you CPS 1000. How much for the gun and for S+H(I'm in Maryland.)?

Since I only saw 2 cps 1000 on ebay being sold(one for $41 on 2002 and one for $54 earlier this year), I have to put the price on $45 US. I don't really know if that is steep or cheap. To me it's seems a bit steep, but Im not really a collector and aparently the CPS 1000 is extremely hard to find. On the other hand, you could wait till I sell it on ebay and then you could bid. But once the bidding starts I can't stop it.Annihilator, I am interested in buying you CPS 1000. How much for the gun and for S+H(I'm in Maryland.)?
Since I live in Canada, the shipping cost to the US would be $5 more than to Canada.
I also want to mention that the leakage of the handle has been reduced 60%, since I sealed the leaks with a water resistant glue made for leakage. If you prefer I can finish the job, or you can do it if you wish. There was an unusually high leakage in that gun around the handle. I didn't really want to return it, since most stores destroy defective items, and it would be a shame for the CPS 1000. So I kept it and fixed it. Other than the leaks, the soaker is superb. My CPS 2100 had also leaks(but very small), which I fixed, but it's power was superior to the MX and MXL. So I was very suprised that the CPS 1000 outpowered the CPS 2100.

I completely sealed of the leakage from the handle(5 leaks). But I can not seal the leakage from the trigger( leakage if the gun is pointed below 16 degree angle), since I don't really know how. But that kind of leakage isn't that bad, since it's only my hand which is getting wet(with the classic 300, parts of my back is being soaked because of the backpack). I don't have much experience with the CPS soakers of the 1998-2000 years. Is leakage very comon? Those classic CPS soakers are extremely powerful (almost explosive), but not very sturdy. On the other hand, both of my MXLs, have just moderate power(exept the 11X dual nozzle, which outpowers the 10X of CPS 2500), but all of my monsters have no leakage at all and are build to last for at least dacade. I wonder if increasing the soaker structure will decrease the soaker power. I don't see how, but it's strange.
