I'm not sure whether or not this is what happened, but you can look at this guide from the repairs section on a "Water gun spraying wildly from nozzle".

Finding out whether something or whether something is misaligned is the best thing you can do to get a more specific answer, so I would suggest investigating your nozzle.

Hope that helps.

Not really, I mean it's not like the gun's meant to spray.

I'm taking it the spraying is from the nozzle (or near it), as opposed to the gun spraying everywhere. The latter would be BAD.

I'd suggest the fault is in the selector though. I don't actually know how the 1500's selector works.

EDIT: A 1700 is basically the same as a 1500, so that guide should be fine.

thanks buddy, i fixed it, it was a small problem, the front filter screen was twisted sideways, i just stuck a pen in there and straightened it out. it's awesome. this gun has soooo much kick back. i actually got it at on craigslist here in colorado springs. it was scuffed and dirty but i just took some rubbing alcohol to it and everything came right up. best 10 dollars i'll ever spend. thanks soo much for your help.

Yo, I see that you have both a 1500 and a 2500. How would you compare both?
I love the kickback on the 2500's 3rd nozzle. I've only had my 2500 for a week or so, but I absolutely love it! However, I find the need for a smaller gun either for smaller skirmishes or as a secondary weapon.

well, for sure, the 2500 is way more fun and way more durable. the 1500 is a lot lighter but still packs that punch. i wouldnt use it as a back up gun though. since you do have a devistating weapon, you may only need something like a 1000, 2100, or even just a max-d 6000. the 1500 should be used as more of a primary weapon i think. especially if you want that maneuverability. so yeah, for smaller skirmishes, it would make a fantastic primary weapon. the 1500 is an awesome gun, you should just get one for the hell of having one. :D
