I just got a cps 1700 off of e-bay and was wondering if and of you have some good mods (other than covering the horrid colors) that I could try. I am especially looking for check valve mods after noticing how weak they are (so that you can't fully pressurize it)..
any suggestions?

I like the blue and green of the 1700 :)

Get a can of Black Kyrlon Fusion spraypaint and paint the dumb thing. Then Tear off the nozzle selector for a Better Output/Range. Replace the pathetic Super Soaekr branded strap, with something like a Lether belt or a backback belt..

There's not too many other mods for the 1700. You shouldn't really worry about the check valves and such, the 1700 has good enough range for most combat anyways...

If youur going to replace the strap, get a camera strap. My leather camera strap is very comfortable.

thanks for the ideas (and for any more coming) I have another question though
wouldn't the range ALSO be increased (and keep the already low shot time of most cps weapons from getting any worse) by adding a sort of "sighlenser"(however you spell it) ot the nossel... having it larger than the nossel and longins to keep the water beam from separating as it leaves the gun (keeping it consentrated seems to be what gives my storm 750 the range of an xp 110)?
just a thought...

Probably not, it would only make you less mobile and would make the water go out less. I really doubt it would do anything else for you. You can try. I got one from presumably the same seller and I like mine, though it needed a bit of epoxy. I'm going to camo the gun in electric tape. enjoy! :grandpa:

this would not affect the output or the mopility I was thinking that a SMALL (1.5 in. long posably) tube inserted into the nossel NOT thinner than the largest nossel setting my assumption is that by making the shaft longer (not thinner) that the water beam would hold togather more, wile not killing the output and not really moding the insides of the gun... ill have to test it sometime...

Hmm, Maybe but that's all I can say. Not sure if that would work or not. It's spelled "Silencer" BTW..

EDIT:Misinterpreted Post's Before this One.

the nosels for cps guns are only a centemeter long so the "silencer" would just extend it (I made a preliminary test a wile ago and it seemed to work well)

I used a busted mechanical pencil cartage but you could us any tube that is the right size (a little bigger than the nessel) and even if it doesn't improve range THAT much it DOES mke for better acuracy and a more compact blast.
