It is always good to see people here excited about the way they work and the build itself. The people who ask how to fix the same problems over and over are getting really boring. We should put a stickied thread in the repairs forum to the repairs page. Nice to see somebody with some good ideas.

To admins/mods- could you put a stickied thread at the top of the repairs section: "Read this Before Asking About a Repair" in the thread, put a link to the repairs page.

i find it is often easier to alter some designs and think of ingenious adaptions than to start from scratch. if the supercannon had the pc at an angle, you wouldnt need to have that pipe inside. that would be simpler. Ben, are you listing, because you should make a supercannon 1.3. you could just mod the origonal.

The Supercannon was replaced by the Supercannon II, which had a piston within it, water in front, air behind. The reason for having the strait part is to maintain a laminar flow, to increase ranges. Odd that you stubled upon the first without hearing about the second.

Also, ben has been extremely busy, and is posting very rarely.

i know that, and i read supercannon 2 first. thats why i said he could mod the origonal to make a supercannon 1.3. i would make one, but i need more instructions, and more materials, as i`m making a super cannon 2, with maby an alteration or two.

The whole point of those designs was to acheive laminar flow by habing the water travel straight.

Bent PC air pressure water cannons already exist. They can be done either with a wye or a pair of elbows. Wyes are a bit easier to aim and control, but elbows have better flow. Both designs satisfy the requirement for keeping the air away. The SuperCannon name is now very much associated with piston designs and one builder, while air pressure is more commonly made and by a variety of people. Piston designs blow out air pressure in performance, so there's no reason to revisit SCI.
