as a last defense if your near a hose you can have 3-6 people with a shield protect while you use doomsoaker's "water machine gun"

Never heard of this from Doom. Could you provide a link to an article or Thread please?

Do you mean the APH or something else?
If you really want a turret, I posted a design on my site. Look in the Tech Section. It's called "Mini Project".
It would work, but the the PC would need to be different. I Don't think gym balls expand and contract like a balloon, so they wouldnt work for CPS.
The rest of it is a good design. You just need some experiance so you can make the pump and gun.
I havn't built it, and don't plan too since I feel no need for high powered stationary water guns.

I believe he means this:

'Sprinkler aka "The Water Machine Gun"

You know those sprinklers that rotate and go "TSSK! TSSK! TSSK! TSKSKSKSKSKSKSKSKSK!"? Get one of those, set it so that it don't rotate, and you've got a great sorta homemade water weapon that has great range, lots of power and infinite water.'

You can find it on the "Quick Homemades" page.
Hey, images in sigs work again! Woo!

Its basicaly one of those gunlick hose attachments, only harder to hold, and harder to turn on and off.
Just get a hose attachment.

There used to be designs for a WMG on GnG, but I'm not sure they are still there. It requires an accessible hose, something I just don't have in battles. As for sheilds, this depends on group regulations. I know from personal experience that shields can make a massive difference in battle tactics, and may have been banned for that reason.

The irony: the WMG isn't on the "new" GNG site, and in the archived version Doom got a while back, the WMG was one of the few pages missing.
"I used to care, but now I take a pill for that."

You can pretty much ignore the times on that, I rarely ever have Xfire on when I play. I should, though.

However, the WMG is pictured on the following pages of our archived GNG:
