Soakers with backpacks may carry a lot of water but is it really worth it to be carrying such a load? It can really slow you down in battles and could possibley take away from the fun. As you can see they haven't made backpack-soakers for a long while. I am personally undecided.

Null vote. This question is, in my humble opinion, not possible to answer straightforwardly. In some situations, I will want a backpack soaker, but at other times I will want extra mobility.

I think that maybe a backpack does give extra mobility, when I run, I'd prefer the weight on my back than in my arms. However It depends on the situation as these things always do.

If I understand your perspective, are you trying to decide to pick between certain blasters? Read up your history of each gun and decide from there what would be a good choice. Also analyze your needs and wants in a soaker. For me, it depends on the situation, but I prefer Non-Backpacks.

I make all my homemades operate of a backpack of sorts (or at least have the ability to). I voted for backpacks due to that. I use so much water to the point where'd I refill every 10 minutes.

The mobility issue essentially doesn't exist for me as well. I use properly built frame backpacks to hold my water, and I'm pretty much the fastest guy around (11.2s 100 meter in spring track's trials this year).

I don't suppose that makes me average. :)

Null vote. I usually pick whatever is suited for the situation. Also, I haven't have enough wars to tell which one I like best.

I voted for no backpack. Mainly because I think it slows you down and makes you less agile.

Backpack for me. Even if I use a non-backpack soaker, I wear a backpack with extra water bottles. I'm extremely agile and fast with little detrimental effects.

backpack for me. I don't care if I have decreased mobility. I have next to none in the first place. I go for raw power whenever possible. I'm an ideal candidate for a Deathwalker, actually.

EDIT: I just realized that I was rambling. sorry.

I voted backpack, because I'm in the same boat as Toaster. I'm slow whether or not I have water weighing me down, but I certainly have no problem carrying eight liters of it on my back. Also, one must admit that backpack Soakers are quite intimidating, not only because people realize that refilling is more or less a non-issue, but also by the fact that backpack Soakers just look huge.

Uh, what's a death-walker?

I like backpack, but guns with attached reservoirs are more intimidating someone who doesn't know what they're doing.

A Deathwalker is someone who carries very heavy weapons and has a lot of armor on them. I believed they have a CPS 2000/2500 and a CPS 3000/3200.

:( Does anyone know where I can get a CPS 2000/2500 and a 3000/3200?
Maybe I'll just do two giant CPS homemades.

^ Ebay is the only place nowadays. I have a store near me that sells closeout stuff, last year I found a CPS 1500, a CPS 1200, and a CPS 3200!

Hey, that's funny., I thought I had a lot of weapons on me in a war, I only use a CPS 1500 and an XP 75! I can't use the 1500 though, my trigger valve keeps dying on me, and all the screws need to be drilled out. :(

I null voted, depends on the situation. I'm aspiring to be a heavy-fast trooper in the next war. Large CPS gun or douchenator + speed and mobility. It's not that hard, heavy guns don't slow me down, but backpacks get annoying when you run long distances. The only time I would use a backpack soaker is in a soakfest or in a battle requiring water conservation and no running.
