Winter Sports
Does anyone else here ski or snowboard? I ski, although I'm by no means an expert. I went again to France recently and enjoyed it, despite somewhat icy conditions.

I've Cross-Country skied once in my life before, about four years ago. It was really fun. Hopefully I'll get to do it again sometime...

There aren't too many skiing resorts in Britain ( ) apart from some rather temperamental ones in Scotland - one generally goes abroad to Europe instead. There they grade pistes in this fashion:
Green - very easy
Blue - average
Red - difficult
Black - very difficult
Having said that, Green was not listed as an option on the piste map when I last went - they had re-classified most (if not all) of the green slopes as blues. Why, I don't know.
