I see this one item for only 4 CDN. Its a CPS 3000 that has a broken piece. Should I get it? Here's the link, I live in Toronto, so I can pick it up no problem. They won't ship to you.

Edit: I removed the pic because it's in the auction.

I would get this. It looks like a Hasbro HQ of a deal. I could probably help you fix it and make a backpack for it. I've been thinking about making a high quality backpack out of PVC for some time, this would be a good oportunity to give that idea some use.

Topic moved to correct forum too. Remember the Board Guidlines.

I just bought a 3200 cps from ....Goodwill. It looked cool and we'll be having a big water fight soon, me vs my students...

Anyways, all it came with was the central gun unit, the adjuster on the front is gone and the Hose and backpack is missing also... Was wondering if anyone has made or constructed their own hose/backpack, etc for this model......

Welcome to SSC!

It seems you have gotten ripped off. It should come with a backpack, or its pretty much useless. People have made their own backpacks (check our tech section), but you have gotten ripped off. I would suggest you go back and demand a proper 3200 or a full refund. Trust me, if your willing to do eBay or something, you can get many soakers of the proper power for this without having to make a backpack.

Hope this was helpful.

Thanks,
Hyper9.

I suggest you do not follow the instructions in the article and check back here. I'll tell you how to make a backpack out of PVC and tubing that should work fine with your CPS 3200.

Doom,

Thank you, I will most likely get the soaker now. However, I don't understand how you could get me a backapck for this to work. I live in Toronto, Ontario. I understand how you could help me fix it, but how could you get me the backpack? You probably live in the US don't ya?

Also, what's the purpose of the borken piece? Speed Refill?

He could either send you it (you'd have to pay him though, of course) or he could guide you through the steps of making one yourself. ;)

I didn't mean send it to you, now that I reread it it does sound like that. I could tell you how to make one, that shouldn't be that hard, and it also should hold more water than the standard CPS 3000 backpack so you're getting a great gun after some work. ;)

So...what was the purpose of the broken piece? Is that the part which connects to the water backpack that it used to come with? (It's a water bakpak soaker right?)

Yes, it was to attach to the backpack. To fix this you might have to open the gun up and take some pics so I could tell you what to do better. Get a camera if you don't have one, and good luck with the repair. The CPS 3000 is a great gun, and even if you have to pay $20 for the backpack you got it for a steal. :D

Well it was on a top shelf at Goodwill for 3$, so I mean getting the central unit minus the backpack, hose and front adjuster doesn't seem so bad.

and that would be totally cool about telling me how to make a backpack and hose.

Should I merge this topic with this similar and related one? They both have the same goal, creating a backpack for a CPS 3000 or 3200.

might as well go into a merging session. Quite a few topics could be consolidated into singles.

with the cps system. is their some kinda hole in the backpack that allows air in to balance out the pressure of the water thats being sucked into the gun?

Please use punctuation correctly. ;)

In the backpack I'm going to tell you two how to make, it will have a check valve in the backpack to fill in for the water pumped out. I choose a check valve for it because that way you can turn the backpack in any direction and the water won't leak out! Much better answer than putting a hole in.
