Flash flood or No...

Post by antisushi67 » Wed Jun 01, 2011 2:03 am

I'm not really sure about the trigger problem. Is it really common?

Not really with the newer version, but the older max-d's were the ones that brought it about. (stupid valves)

Newer version? As in Max infusion? Or IM2?

New is anything after Max-D 4000, such as max infusion and later is fine.

So the arctic blast is just as durable as the max infusion flash flood? Or no?

I think the AB is more durable. The IM2 gets rid of the frigger mech for the bottom, so it's a lot more durable than both.
Sorry if I'm not active much, busy on another forum and another project non-soaker related.

The FF's bottom trigger can be de-Max-D'd without terribly much trouble; you just need some bendable wire to connect the trigger directly to the valve's arm and some rubber bands wrapped correctly to make it close. The FF's handling is far superior to the AB's; its profile and foregrip are much nicer than the bulk of the AB. Both pumps are badly designed though, and performance between the two is not much different; the FF has better stock nozzles and its bladder can push a bit more water than the AB's, but that's about it. In either case, you'll likely want to drill the bottom nozzle a bit as the stock nozzle is pretty pathetic and the blaster is well capable of pushing a larger stream.

Well, it doesn't sound like to much trouble, so I probably will expand the PC and drill the nozzle a bit bigger.

PC expansion is often more trouble than a simple nozzle drill. I'm pretty lazy and have avoided such a mod, but if I ever get a Hydro Cannon, I'll have to go for such a mod since the stock PC is almost as tiny as the Pulse Master's PC.

haha, so funny but so right...

mine got 1200 ml now ;) but the pump-volume is so weak, more than 50 pumps make this soaker not that good for a fight. A good first-attack weapon, but without a strong backup(CPS 3000 or guns like this) you will be out of game till another 50 pumps are done...
A gunner has to do what his Soaker requires...
