2700/1200 PC Swap

Post by martianshark » Wed Feb 16, 2011 2:23 am

I'm going to get a CPS 2700 in a few days. Since it's taken apart, I think I should swap the PCs with my CPS 1200. Then I would basically have a CPS 2700 in a smaller package that I could take anywhere (plus it wouldn't look as ugly). Would there happen to be a reason this wouldn't work? Would the pressure from the 2700 PC hurt my CPS 1200? And does anyone know how bad the performance would be on a 2700 with a 1200 bladder?

The 2700's PC is considerably larger than the 1200's so I don't think it would fit.

A 1200 bladder can be made to almost any level of power with a k-mod. Its main restriction is capacity (maximum expansion) as the 2700's bladder is a bit larger (and elastic perhaps) so it can expand/contract further without risking disaster/bladder weardown as much.

Do a pc expansion and it would fit, or just take off the stock pc and make your own.
I reject your reality and substitute my own.
Quack damn you.

As long as the PC casing fits in there is no problem. And as you can K-modd every spherical bladder, there is no problem with power^^

But keep in mind that a CPS 2700 bladder may brings too much power to the nozzle which may end in a unlaminar stream with less range. On the other side there should not be any problem using the (weaker and may also smaller) bladder of the 1200 in the 2700.

These are just thoughts^^ I have not tested this out yet. But I would keep original parts in original guns, since this will not change much and the changes are more likely to end in worse performance. Original things just work best!

good luck :)

To get the 2700 bladder into the 1200, you'd have to take out the actual bladder, or destroy some plastic on the 1200's casing so that the larger PC fits. Of course, there's also always a chance that the diameters and sealing may be inconsistent too.

Go with the K-mod I guess.

The PC swap might not actually do much. The 2700's firing chamber is bigger, but not by much - 800 vx 625 ml according to isoaker (and remember, that's determined by the PC case as well as the PC itself). Isoaker's range figures for the 1200 are bad, he must have a lemon because mine shoots 10.5 m. On a similar size nozzle, I believe if anything the 1200 outperforms the 2700.

Of course, the blaster itself is a huge influence. I recall reading about someone who swapped the 2000 and 2500 PCs; performance was clearly closer to the host blaster than the donor PC.
