Super Soaker Injury

Post by Levenbreech Vor » Thu Sep 08, 2005 9:31 pm

A couple days ago I was in an intense battle that raged for over 2 hours. After the battle I had two bleeding wounds on my thumb knuckle and in between my thumb and pointer finger. This was because my super soaker (a CPS 2100) chafed the skin off while I was running.

Has this happened to anyone?

If so are there any steps I can take or should I just suck it up and stop being a wimp?

Two words:

Leather.
Gloves.

Welcome to Super Soaker Central!

From what I've read, loads of Super Soaker CPS 2500 owners have similar problems. Gloves would be a good idea anyway - they'd also help with your grip. There's multiple uses for gloves I suppose.

I definitely used to have that problem with my CPS 2500, it drew blood once. I'll go with hyper on this one, leather gloves. If you don't think they look cool enough ( :P ), cut the fingers off. That's what I do for paintball, works great unless it's really cold - but I don't think you'll really want to be soaking when it's cold out ;)

You can pretty much ignore the times on that, I rarely ever have Xfire on when I play. I should, though.

This happens when I use my 21K or 2500 for extended periods of time. I actually get cuts from the screw going through the reinforced pumps, as grip adjustments save your knuckles and other areas of the hand. Gloves help the most.

Thanks for the advice.

My bike gloves should work great!
______________
LITANY AGAINST FEAR
I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.
