Constant Pressure streams not constant

Im working on my new soaker website at the moment, and while I was taking pictures, I noticed a difference of how the streams look and move through the air. So I put them next to each other as a comparison:
STREAM COMPARISON

As you see, the CPS 2500 stream is only very thick at the beginning, but becomes thiner.
The CPS 3200 and CPS 1500 streams remain their thickness through the whole shot.
The Monster X stream is geting thicker and thiner and thicker and thiner again through the whole shot. Also surprisingly, the 11.5X stream of the MX looks closer to the CPS 3200 20X stream than the CPS 1500 10X stream. Also, they are all shot from the same distance, so there is no optical illusion.

nice actction pics man. what kinda shutter speed did you use for those? they turned out pritty good. they also demonstrate why soakers can never get great range. the stream of water just gets pulled apart too much by the air that is in it's way. as for rifleing em... honestly it's not going to help much if any... the air is still going to be there and still going to pull your stream apart. it may help a bit, but honesly not much of a notice able difference.

iSoaker.com says that the MX(2001) is 13.6oz./sec, that the CPS 1500 is 10.4oz./sec, and that the CPS 3200 is 16oz./sec. So the MX(2002) actually is closer to the CPS 3200.Originally posted by The dark ANNIHILATOR@Dec 16 2003, 06:49 AM

Aquanexus said something similar. The MX and MXL 11.5X nozzles perform like 15X nozzles. This would mean that the 11.5X dual nozzle on the MXL works like a 30X. Also, if Im not mistaken, the first part of the 20X CPS 2500 shot performs like a 25X nozzle. As you see on the CPS stream, the beginning part of the stream is much thicker than the CPS 3200.

Fair enough. But you are taking the title to literaly. I just wanted to point out the irony of the name and the way the streams actually looked like. "Constant" means multiple things due to word association. The CPS 1000 pics look very odd since it has a lot of air breaks and it actually dribbles similar to an Air Pressure soaker. It's just the raw pressure that makes it less obvious. CPS soakers just don't have that severe drop off. So yeah, you are right. But CPS soakers do dribble and have air breaks. Personaly I would prefer the name "Automatic Preston" over "Constant Pressure System".
