 I just noticed we have 16 guest as I post this, and me and Racer are on so 18 people in total. I myself have never seen so many guest on at once. Doom and the SSCentral staff was right in the Email "Our forums are in their most active winter yet, we are much more popular than this time last year.". I guess we are going to make the goal of 20,000 post if we are active. we still have 21 days to go for about 480 more post. So keep going.

^ Those above two statements are very far off. The summer is THE MOST ACTIVE TIME OF THE YEAR. That statement is undeniable. Unless you are our having wars all day all summer long or on vacation all summer long, you still have time to post.
As you can see, nearly two years of posting statistics show that our forums are, by far, at their peak during the summer. Also be aware that the December 2004 post count is only thusfar, we still have 20 days left in this month.

That is actually pretty interesting. When I came on the forums during American summer (Aussie winter) I hardly ever saw many people on. Maybe it's just the time differance. It still seems as though winter (in America+other countries or continents) has gotten off to a better start than summer when it really hasn't. Weird!

It's the time zones. When I'm on during the summer, I swear at any time there's at least 3 - 5 people online! Most of our members are on the east coast of the United States, or even a slightly different time zone, so that does make perfect sense.
We could be experiencing a better start right now due to four things:
1) Site redesign - This brought in a few new people already and will continue to
2) Goal of 20K in posts - This probably gave our members a reason to stay posting
3) Anticipation of the 2005 line - Likely is keeping a few people here during the winter
4) Mass Emails I sent - I sent an email to the forum membership announcing the site redesign and another more recent one announcing our 20k post goal
That's my view on why we're having such a strong winter, take it for what it's worth.
And if you'd like a complete December post count, my projection puts us at 1290 for that month. That does follow the previous December that was more popular than November. January and February both appear to be the "deadest" months, hopefully we'll still be able to get some good discussion at those times.

Another reason is that we are sooo much bigger now. When I first joined there were less than 5000 posts. Now there are 19700 something! We will still grow in proportion to last year, just with much larger figures. May thru July feel like so long ago. For you newer members, if you stick around until next summer, you will be amazed at the activity. You think there's a lot going on now? Just wait :Hey, that's funny.: You won't even be able to keep up with the topics, there will be too many created too quickly. Although I do like it now, as there aren't any more topics praising liquidators.

Weird, and to think that the most users ever online was during december!
"Most users ever online was 18 on Dec 10 2004, 01:14 PM"
I believe the record before that one was also in December. Holiday madness every year! :Hey, that's funny.: I think it has something to do with school. I know during the summer I'm on at random times because of what I'm doing with friends and stuff. And when its the school year, I'm always on after school. So I guess everyone just swarms in after school. -_-

That's because were typically on the computer later during the winter because you can't really post during school (though I have done this once or twice). :unsure:Originally posted by Peeko@Dec 12 2004, 01:57 AM
