Monster X 2000 versus Monster X 2002
Monster X 2000-01:
Pumps= 18-20
11.5X(6mm)= 3 seconds
8.5X(4mm)= 5 seconds
5X(3mm)= 7 seconds
Powerburst= 4 seconds
Fan= 4 seconds
Shower= 3 seconds
Monster X 2002:
Pumps= 18-20
11.5X(6mm)= 3 seconds
8.5X(4mm)= 5 seconds
5X(3mm)= 7 seconds
Powerburst= 3 seconds
Fan= 4 seconds
Shower= 4 seconds
After reading many other MX 00-01 reviews I assumed that the main difference between the two version would be the short MX01 shot time. And after buying a MX00 on ebay, I realised that I was wrong. The pumps and shot times are almost identical. Length wise, the MX02 does not really seem that much shorter, and each version seems to have their own colour strength.(I like the black frame, but also the green barrel). There pretty much is just 1 main difference, and that is power. The force and soakage is fairly greater in the MX02 than in the MX00. Looking at the pics the MX02 stream looks more fuller than the MX00 stream. Design wise, both Monsters, and the Monster line itself, is a piece of art. A slick, cool, though yet stylish design. Both soakers are great, but if you have the chance to get only one of them, get the MX02.

Yeah, it could be so that the QFD has more room. For maximum performance however, it is best for the entier PC to nozzle thing to be as straight as possible, not that it would make much of a difference with the power of water guns that are marketable. It really only would help much on a very dangerous gun.

In one of the pics of the 2001-2 version, the water seems to go drastically downward. And in the 2000 version it looks to me (even though its tilted up a bit) that it goes more in a straight line. Are you sure the distances are not different?

Apearance can be deceiving. The 2002 MX shoots farer than the 2000 MX.Originally posted by nibordude@Jul 11 2004, 09:13 PM
