I once saw a video of this, it looked pretty dumb if you ask me. Just 1000 people with fake CPS 1500's and buckets of water all in a big bunch getting wet.

BORRRING. I thought the point of a water war was to stay dry?

Songkran is a Thai word which means "move" or "change place" as it is the day when the sun changes its position in the zodiac. It is also known as the "Water Festival" as people believe that water will wash away bad luck.

Also, I think another part is the fact that it is hot there. When I mean hot I mean UGH 90 degrees with 100% humidity and a high dew point. With the hot weather it is fun to just get wet, cool down, and have a reason to shoot someone in the face with your water gun. ^_^
