I know it's probably been covered before, but I'm new and I'm short on time. Can somebody give me some guidance? Preferably for a decent soaker I can find in stock at the local Toys R Us?

Thanks.

Hmm, what will you be using it for? Just to play around with?

If so, try to see if they have any Cps 4100's.

EDIT: Ok, of the 2004 lines, I think you should get either the Liquidator or the Triple aggressor.

Thanks much...I'm going to check at Toys R Us right now.

By the way...I had no idea there was such a group for water wars people like this. I'm an old fart, but my kids and I love this stuff! :D

There's groups for nearly anything, all you have to do is find one! After I realized there were water war groups a few years ago I checked out some of my other passions and found similar results. ;)

You could build a better gun than anything offered now. It probably would even be better than things offered a few years ago. I just need to write all those articles on how to... I will eventually.

Stop trying to show off Doom. Some people just want to get our advise and get moving. They are not interested in the entire sport of building their own soaker. This guy just wants a soaker for his kids to play with down at the pool.

We should make smacking the mods in the face a sport!
Of course, then BlueSmudge would win all the gold medals. :(

you shouldnt use cps soakers in the pool. I heard that the chlorine makes the rubber bladders brittle or something.

Hi there, welcome to the boards! I recently went to our local Toys'R'us, and I found a pool pumper cannonc alled the "Glowy Blaster" I think it was called. Its piston based, so you dunk the nozzle into the pool, and push inward to expel the water out. Its got a good nozzle size, and it should not hurt the gun. Plus they are only $5.00 USD, So get a few, and have a blast in the pool. All the other Super Soakers made for pools were discontinued a long time ago, and these are the only blasters that I know of that are for sale. Good luck! ^_^

it's true that the chlorine in the water would probably cause cps internals to disintegrate after a while. I'd go with something air pressure or piston. (ZX1000 perhaps)
"I used to care, but now I take a pill for that."

You can pretty much ignore the times on that, I rarely ever have Xfire on when I play. I should, though.

I bought one and tried it, it's very simalar to a Stream Machine, only smaller.
