best back up

Post by Daniel » Thu Apr 02, 2009 8:34 pm

I was just wondering what everyone thinks what is the best back up is, i know it would be different depending on what your primary weapon is but still.

I'll start of by saying a sc 600 or a speed loader 1500 from what ive herd they would probly be good even though ive never used a speed loader 1500.

Enyone else now what gun would make a good back up?

I've always liked the larger Max-D models. That said, like with dual wielding, I'd say a single, larger soaker is the best option.

What do you mean by a backup? A blaster you can hide and run to, or one that you stick in your pocket to get you back to a refill point?

If "backup" means a sidearm, or water gun that you carry around and use when your main gun is out of water, then I would say none, because I never use a sidearm. However, as a "secondary" water gun, I like the Flash Flood. Sometimes I even abandon my normal soaker and use the FF just for fun.

I just read a ton of reviews on iSoaker and it appears that the Flash Flood is probably the best backup, not to mention in terms of availability over a pre-2002 gun.

The Max-D 2000's my favorite sidearm, and is pretty easy to carry with or without a clip to holster it on a belt. (it fits in a pocket)

For dual wielding, I like to go with Flash Floods. Since I only have one, I usually use a smaller weapon (like a SC400 or Max-D 5000) on my left hand.

Anything larger, and you'll need to strap it. Personally, I've never been able to work well with having more than1 gun strapped at a time. Perhaps I need to unsling the gun I'm currently using.
