splashzooka

Post by hydro blytz » Sat Jun 09, 2007 7:32 pm

I need a vote on if the Splashzooka is worth 70$ or not. Plese rate the splashzooka on a scale of 1 to 10.

I would rate it an 11/10 (no that's not a typo). It is definitely not worth $70.

Depends on what you are using it for and where. If you are fighting in a neighborhood or backyard with hose access, I'd give it a 4/10, 10 high. If you're fighting in a park with no hose access, it is automatically a 0/10 and utterly useless.

Not worth $70. Not even worth $40, unless you are a collector.

If could be worth the $70 if you really, really want the gun. It is not my place to tell people how to spend their own money, but being a bargain hunter, I cringe when someone spends more than $60 on any water gun, including 2000s and 2500s. You could get a Splashzooka for $20 in January.

I've never seen a 'zooka go for $70, so you'd be the record high. I think there might have been one that sold for $86 in 2004, but my memory gets hazy there.

$70 is far too high for a Splashzooka. You should be able to get them on eBay for perhaps half that price even during the summer. I would pass on that "deal" and wait for a better deal. ;)

It's not a question of whether you can or can't afford the water gun. It's more a question of whether or not the water gun is worth $70.

Look at it this way: For most people, it'll be more reasonable to save that $70 for other, more powerful water guns. Or if you're keen on getting Splashzookas, you could get two or three for that price.

If you want to know what a splashzooka owner think, I have two of them and I say no, it isn't worth 70$. As said, at that price you could buy at least 2 of them, maybe new in box.

Being a big fan of the splashzooka since my firsts water fights when it was available in stores, I really recommend this gun if you can find it cheaper. It's mobility and usefulness as backup always amazes me. Dual wielding 'zookas is also a great combo. But just don't expect too much power out of it, and it lacks a strap.

I'd give it a 8/10.

I don't own the Splashzooka, but I have used one before.

hydro blytz, it seems to me that you have already made up your mind about whether or not the Splashzooka is worth $70. In that case, don't bother arguing with us and just buy it! If it's worth it to you, just get it. I personally think you are getting ripped off, but if it is worth the price to you, just do it.

With that being said, I can make $70 in a few hours of work, but that doesn't mean I can waste it. Rather, I save my money. That $70 could be put to better work than a single Splashzooka. If I wait patiently, I could probably buy two Splashzookas with $70.

Very good choice. I would not even go out of my way to spend that much on any gun. Just start looking around at peoples houses and garage sales.
