A valve made for us

Post by atvan » Mon Jul 25, 2011 8:40 pm

I found a part on mcmaster carr that seems to be perfect for a triggered gun- a sping-close ball valve. Parts 4088T11(1/2 inch) and 4088T12(3/4 inch) would be most useful, but they do go up to 2".

Nice find! Quite pricey and no PVC versions, but should be useful if setup correctly for it.

Yes, a tad expensive, but may be worth it in man hours. I got bored, but definitely did not skim everything in McMaster Carr that seems interesting. that site has everything! There are things on there that a rich version of me would buy just because they are so cool, no use at all, but cool.

They sell foam that could be used for stefans as well, with many diameters. It is under Raw Materials>Foam>Cord Stock. There are also foam spheres, but they are too large to use as nerf musketballs. That would be hilarious, shooting a musket type gun in a major war.
