Range on Orca
Hey, could anyone tell me a bit more about the range and power of the 2008 orca? Which super soaker could you compare it to? I am very interested in buying one when i find it in stock but i am worried i'll be dissapointed by its range. I have an arctic blast, can i expect better range than that? Also is there anything i should know about the gun that the review doesn't point out?
Cheers.
Cheers.

Re: Range on Orca
Though it was the 2007 model reviewed here, I don't believe range has changed much between 2007 and 2008. The primary difference between 2007 and 2008 models is the placement of the reservoir cap.

Thanks, 11 meters is good, right?
I'm hoping that it will be at least on par with the soaker i loved CPS 1200

11 meters isn't the best but it's definitely not bad. The CPS 1200 shoots 12 or 13 meters for comparison, so it'll be close. With the Orca you get more nozzle options too.

Yeah well its the best of the new soakers i guess so i dont have a choice. Real shame that all the great soakers are gone.

I wouldn't say that they're gone. The market could change, but I doubt that it will change fast. Come next decade when CPS patents expire you could expect some serious changes to the market, but that's not for at least 5 years, likely more. You can buy old water guns, but they're becoming more rare and breaking. You also can build your own water guns, and if you don't want to we have the SSC Store here that sells powerful water guns. I think things like the SSC Store that I'm finally starting this year will be serious options for people now and for a long time to come. If others got into the business it would only be better.

From what I know looking for auctions on the German eBay works well. Shipping will be cheaper to the UK and from what I've been told most sellers are fine with the English language. There have been some great deals there from what I've seen as well.
