Water Balloon Arrow?

I was going to make a homemade crossbow for fun out of some wood and rubber bands, and I got an idea. You take that crossbow, and attach a small water balloon to the front. It's a water balloon arrow! I'm not sure how this idea will work, but as long and the arror is weighed right, it's range should be good.

EDIT: what if you could get a really skinny balloon and use that like a crossbow bolt?

I think the rubber bands would break it.

I'm going to pick some light wood for this today. I got the basic design thought of in my head. I'm going to use a lot of strong rubber bands, too. ^_^

I'm thinking of how these "bolts" would hold the water balloon. Got any ideas?

I know scew the rubber bands I know work it like a cross bow ps DO NOT use rubber bands you bend the wood to make power just go cheack out some books on makeing bows
