You actually didn't need to do any reinforcing on the 21000. DO NOT DRILL THE NOZZLE. A nozzle drill killed my first 21000. The gun is already optimal for range and the such, and if you do drill, the shot time falls apart and range does drop.
Each 2100 is unique, and each individual gun preforms differently. My first 21k got 16.5 shots per tank, my 2nd 21k only got 6. My first 21k also had a weaker stream, while my 2nd 21k had a powerful stream. Point is that the advice here my differ from the results of your actual gun.

Not all the guns are "unique." It's just that we got 3 different types. There is definatly more of the same type so don't start confusing people saying that each one is different. You've said that each 2100 is unique in its own way and I dissagree.
There are different models but not every 2100 is different. You just have to figure out which one you have. And Don't DRILL THE NOZZLE! The gun is fine as is.

If try and drill the nozzle, you should use a screw-driver not a power-drill for the following reasons:
- The nozzle will actually be round, and not oval. 0 with a power-drill, o with a screw driver.
- Less chance of failing, and if something goes wrong it;s hard to stop it on a power-drill.
- The plastic is still easy to enlarge.
- It's much safer.

There are at least 3 different CPS 2100 types, but the design is pretty much the same. All but one type are harder to mod. What Duxburian says is true to a degree. Some CPS 2100s have flashing, or irregularities from the mold that makes the stream smoother, or can give it a shotgun effect. Not all of them perform exactly the same. Some have a stiffer PC. I know this because I own over 100 CPS 2100s. I am not kidding, we went to 4 Sports Authority stores, and bought every single one they had. I will take a picture, and attach the file to a follow up post. They don't call me King Soaker for nothing!

Anyway...
My 12000 Has 61 balloons on, Valve freeze, nozzle drilled *Slightly*, new paint, custom handle, new strap and experimental Nozzle Changer system!
I don't check this forum anymore.

Take a picture of that, I'd like to see it. I'd sell some of those on eBay in a few years too if soakers are still in high demand. That and mod the Hasbro HQ out of them.
I'm still finishing my 21000, only 30 balloons currently. I actually could finish it today, I think I will. After of course I unmod it to do something that is. h34r:

Doom, we had a major water war today here in St. Louis. Everyone that showed up got a CPS 2100. Of course I don't fight fair, and used my CPS 3200, and a CPS 2100. I was really hot here today, so it was a prime day for a battle. Yes, I plan on saving plenty of them for a few years down the road. I too mod most of mine with 30 balloons. It's the easiest way to get a reliable power up. As promised, here is my pile of CPS 2100s. The loose ones on top are sitting on about half a dozen cases full!

Truly impressive^ My team has 4 and that is about to increase to 6. That is enough for me ^_^ .
Has anyone ever tried putting more than 80 balloons on a 2100? The power you get must be immense, but you should probably have a pretty sturdy check valve freeze.

I actually was planning on putting at least 90 on mine and reinforcing everything, not just with strong glues (my dad's got plastic welder), but metal strips as well. JBWeld likely is what will be used, because it is for metal and works on plastic too. I also want to replace much of the pump system to make it stronger. Another idea I had was to try to make the PC larger with a PC expansion mod, it's just that nobody has done that with a spherical PC gun so I don't know if you can. And of course I was going to do some nozzle mods, not drilling, making a homemade nozzle selection thing.
However, since then people (I think it was blaze) told me that was crazy and it wouldn't be worth it. Time will tell, if I ever get to finishing it though.

I have a pretty good idea for 2100 (or any spherical PC CPS gun that is k-modded). When you opne up the two halves of the pressure chamber to k-mod it, don't put them back on when you put the gun together. Simply o-clmap the cps tubing to the trigger valve. If you do a good and sturdy check valve freeze, the pc inside your gun will be inhibited from expanding anymore duee to the pressure chamber walls. When you remove those, you have a much bigger area for pc expansion.

I think the cps 2100 is the best to experiment on if we were to K-mod with 90 or more balloons. It has a pretty strong body and I did no re-enforcing to it when I did 67, 68 and 69 balloon K-mod's. The best part is they're selling for $7.50! If it breaks, it's no big loss. I will go to Sports Authority tomorrow and I'll do a 90 balloon K-mod to see what happens.
