With a MXL? Well, pretty anything will seem lightweight after that thing. I suggest:

1) Power Pak - goes on back, so it's great for backup (sorry about the pun ^_^ ) as you don't have to hold another blaster.

2) CPS 1000, 1200, 2100 - lightweight CPS guns

3) XP 310, 110 - good Air Pressure guns

Um...all of those will hold their own, but with the weight of a MXL, you may as well choose another heavyweight blaster to complement it since mobility has already been sacrificed. <_<

I use an EES Sonic as a Secondary Soaker. It's light and it's piston so you don't have to wait for pumping. I can also get it around 40 feet.

Ditch the EES sonic-you couldn't soak a fly with one. [at]Draco-If you are going to be using the MXL then I would use a 21k as secondary. If you don't have one, then I would suggest getting a 2100 and doing the k-mod. Its well worth it. You can take advantage of its superior range to cover yourself until you get close enough to the enemy to open up with the XL. Very few guns can outrange a 21000, so you can be safe with the XL.

Any max-d would work, you'll just have to make a strap or clip. I would use a 3000 or 4000 if I were you.

I think a lower-class CPS would be best because once your out of ammo with your mxl, your going to need to hold off your opponents with strong blasts until you can refill.

Thta's why I suggested a 21k. Its range will hold off almost anything, and the stream is more powerful then stock 2100's or lower classed CPS's. I wouldn't use Max-D's-A secondary weapon should be able to compete with the other people's main weapons, therefore, it should either be equal to your main in power or fill a certain stat, like the 21k's extremely long range. As Veteran said though, a lower-classed CPS would work if the enemy doesn't have main guns that are very powerful.

cool but my Q with the 2100 is the fact that it dosnt come with a strap so how do I pump the mxl while holding the 2100?

Get a piece of rope, or something like it that could be more comfortable, and tie it on-you've got your strap. B)

One of the best backups I've seen used is a denozzled MXD6000. Sure, it doesn't have the staying power, but it'll soak someone pretty well.

My backups are a Storm 1200 in my left hand and a Storm 800 in my right. Not a LOT of power, but it'll make someone dodge for cover, and that's what backups are for, right?

:D I use for my primary, a partially K modded 1500, or a fully K modded 1200, and for backup, I use two MD 3000's or WW Hornets.

[at]racersoaker - Don't mod a 1500, it's so dang good already, it doesn't need a K.

[at]draco, I would use a MD6K or an XP310, you can put straps on the easy (I have done to both). Or if you want something heavier, do the classic
Monster X + Monster XL combo... No-one short of two CPS2000s will face you down now...
