When I had braces they gave me about 4 or 5 times as many of those rubber bands as I needed. I'm sure they could be obtained for cheap if they give them out that much. I wouldn't know where to get them but I bet through some internet searching you could find some.

I really do not think that it is worth going to all that trouble, considering thet ordinary rubber bands will do the job better anyway.

With the silent repair mod, it removes the snappy noise, but lets you control how far the valve opens.

I have done this to almost all of my guns with max-d triggers, and it works like a dream. My MD5K is much more reliable, and the valve closes perfectly. I have not had a need to replace any rubber bands as of today, but it shouldn't be necessary for a few more years, as there are no springs to get all rusty
