Possibly your browser is interpreting some of the examples there as actual scripts. What web browser do you us? I'm
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-GB; rv:1.9.0.10) Gecko/2009042523 Ubuntu/8.10 (intrepid) Firefox/3.0.10
and have no problems.

dutchguy, go to Help > About and you'll see more information. You should upgrade to IE 7 or 8, which will be a faster, safer, and more responsible browser.
I can't identify which thread you're talking about...is it "WWc Spammed" ?

When I tried that link (forums.sscentral one) my computer said it contained a threat. Earlier after visiting ssc we had a trojan horse threat, don't know if there is any connection or not??

Re: trouble at a tread
To the best of my knowledge, our forum and website contain no threats against any computers. Executable code can not be published unless someone is part of the administration here. If there are any pages that your computer says contains threats, please let me know and I'll investigate.
Security software just looks for patterns that match known threats. The mentioned forum thread has the pattern but in a completely benign form. The threat is still there but it's not activated. It's like looking at the DNA of a virus--by itself the DNA won't cause harm, but when the DNA is in an active virus it can be problematic.

See what I wrote here – your virus scanner probably found an indirect link to a sanitized description of the trojan.

Re: trouble at a tread
I still wonder if we should remove it. It's in the past now, and we don't want SSC getting labelled as a hostile website, or to scare users off.

Re: trouble at a tread
I've removed the code to prevent any problems in the future.
