Storm Cyclone Force 3 Internals and Advice

Post by zeda.beta » Sat Apr 30, 2011 10:33 pm

Well, I dug up an older gun (IDK when I got it) and found that the trigger no longer worked. So I took it apart to diagnose the problem, and attatched pictures that show the internals and what went wrong.

The tank area of the gun

The trigger mechanism

The little nub with a spring behind it is the actual valve.

The pressure release valve for the gun. (Yes, the gun is PR)

After examining the nub I found out that because the previous owner left water in it, the valve froze open, and so now the gun does not function as it should.

Let that be a lesson to you, never forget to empty the water out of your guns.

Wow. That is probably the most overly complicated tubing I have ever seen! When it worked, was it any good?
Pessimist: These blasters hold no water
Optimist: But their small output means they last just as long
Marketing: Huge blasts of water!
user: I shot it at an angle and it went a whole ten feet!

It was okay, but for a PR gun the tubing is extremely complicated.

I got ranges around that of a Max-D 3000, with the stream size being slightly larger, the shot time being longer and the capacity is greater.
