LRT
I'm in the process of making a watergun like the super CPS (but in copper) but as yet I can't seem to find any sites that will ship LRT to the UK.
Does anyone know where I can get some? (preferably not in 50ft lengths like primeline industries)

Re: LRT
Welcome to Super Soaker Central!
Most companies don't ship items like that out of the United States. You can try to find a local retailer that has the right kind of tubing. Or you can ask someone on here to buy some from. I'm sure they'd be willing to send it to a fellow water gun fan.

My "arsenal": Customizable APH, Storm 600 pistol (still haven't finished fixing this), launcher- Model:AB1.0(Decommissioned), AB1.5, soon AB 1.1(2"rebuild) maybe ill get something else in the future

Re: LRT
Note that Primeline Industries does not have a 50 foot minimum. They only have a 50 foot minimum on some tubes. Others come in bulk packs which can be any arbitrary length. Though, even on that page they do say that some tubes might have minimums. If you haven't emailed them already I would suggest sending them an email to see what is possible and what is not possible. Be sure to have some specific tube dimensions in mind.
If that doesn't work, you'll probably have to do some research to find a good source. Just doing a quick Google search for "latex tubing uk" I found this: http://www.omega.co.uk/ppt/pptsc.asp?ref=tygr
The prices are steep but it might be a good starting place. From my quick skim I couldn't figure out how many feet the price is for so that might be why they're so steep.
And if you do find a good source, please tell us about it so others will know. It'll help everyone.
Edit: Also consider other types of constant or relatively constant pressure. Something simple like LPD design made with simple air pressure should be significantly easier to source parts for.

Re: LRT
Has anyone tried using one of those drain cleaning rubber bladders instead of LRT for a cps homemade? Theyre easy to get and are made for that kind of thing anyway.

You attach a hose to it and stick it in the drain, turn on the water and it expands and shoots high pressure water to unclog the drain. Theyre pretty thick I think.

Re: LRT
That looks pretty nice. The 3/4 inch diameter is plenty adequate for performance, and much better than the 1/2 inch or 5/8 inch barbs people have been using. The price is a little high ($22.84 where I live) but it's worth investigating, especially for those without access to LRT.
I'm going to try to find a similar product in the UK...
Edit: Amazon.com has them for about $10.
Edit again: After some research it seems that the 4 inch to 6 inch figure reported refers to the diameter the tube will expand to, which is good to know.

Re: LRT
That doesn't seem to be much of a problem if the hole is just at the end of the tubing. Cut the tubing right before the end and use a tubing clamp, tubing barb, and threaded cap to seal off the end.
Though, since that doesn't seem limiting to me maybe I'm misinterpreting what you said.

Wow, I'm very interested in this product! I'm going to search for these at my local hardware store as soon as possible. As Ben said, the hole on the top shouldn't be much of a problem. They seem a little bit small though, wich wouldn't be good for capacity. But when LRT ain't easily available (that's my problem), that cleaning device is still worth trying.

Re: LRT
It looks like there are multiple holes along the top.
You could try using it as an outer layer with something else inside. Thin latex tubing can be had more easily than thick stuff I think. Even a few cylindrical balloons might do (the sort used for making animals) depending on the size. Though if the holes are anything but tiny any inner layer will try and bulge through them, creating a weak point.

Wow, nice find! Someone should figure out how to use them and give us some numbers about them. I'm interesting in finding how much pressure it can generate and how much water it can hold.
