Problem with XPS mod

On my friends XP 310, we have tried to XPS mod several times, but it must be cursed! The first time we tried it worked fine until the balloons came inside out. Same thing happened the next time! Finally the third time we XPS it, the trigger valve won't close, so we give up. Three months later we find a balloon holding the trigger valve open! Does anyone have a way to prevent the balloons from coming of?
I will really appreciate any help. Thanks.

The only explanation I can come up with is that one of the balloons you used, while you did your XPS, came off. So make sure all the balloons are tightly in place. It might mean not using as many balloons as you did last time. That was an interesting story. :Hey, that's funny.:

We only used 10 balloons though. Should we sill use less? That thing has a lot of history, like water leaking from the PCs, which is fixed. We also lost the metal rod, and trigger. We might know where the trigger is, but can you create a rod out of paper clips?

The best way to make a new rod is to take a coathanger and cut off the long straight piece. Then shape the piece like the rod was using pliers, and it should fit and work almost perfectly if you shaped it correctly.Originally posted by Godzillasoaker65@Jan 22 2005, 08:57 AM

^ Yes, what Duxburian said is completely correct. I'll say what I've been saying in most of my recent posts: check the site. If you want to see a homemade replacement metal rod, scroll down a bit in our Trigger Repair guide.

Did you use ten balloons total, or ten per PC? I used six in each PC of my 310, and it works absolutely fine. Just make sure you pull the neck of the balloons right round as far as they'll go. It should be fine.
