As I recall Doom saying....Taking the nozzle off of certain guns will give it a larger output and range...Well, I took the nozzle off of my 4100 but there is a big plastic thing with an O-Ring, does this peice come off or not? Its the big orangle piece behind the nozzle

you should take anything off that could fall off in battle. put it in a bag so you can use it later. I sometimes take the nozzle selector off my 4100 collossus, but find the modded nozzles better

Easier way to do this... take a grinder or a hacksaw to the stupid fan nozzle, and you got a selectable 20x forever.

If you insist on taking the nozzle selector off, keep the o-ring in a safe place! It is vital to the guns' function once you put the selector back on. Keep all the springs and little plastic bits safe, too.

EDIT - Usually taking the selector off DOES NOT increase range (unless the gun is Collosus modded) and it almost always increases outputs. The 4100 is low output anyway so cut off the fan nozzle instead. Even with Collosus you will get better range with the selector on (I tried it).

I was thinking about taking the nozzle off and take a drill bit to it :)
