super soaker CPS power output listed by model, highest to lowest.

Post by africanmarty » Mon Oct 04, 2010 1:27 pm

i thought i would make a list to show the most volume of water that can be expelled from each CPS Super soaker on its most open setting, The pros can correct me if the order is wrong:

CPS 2000, 849 mL/sec (mark 1)
CPS 2000, 750-800 mL/sec (mark 2)
CPS 2500, 684 mL/sec
CPS 3000. 521 mL/sec
CPS 3200, 481 mL/sec
CPS 2700, 330 mL/sec
CPS 1700, 311 mL/sec
CPS 1500, 311 mL/sec
CPS 4100, 286 mL/sec
CPS 2100, 212 mL/sec
CPS 1000, 195 mL/sec
CPS 1200, 141 mL/sec

Edit: i would love to have the info on the CPS 2000 Mk2 but i cant find it anywhere, i'm guessing it would be similar to the CPS 2500.

List would be more useful if these water blasters were more easily obtained. Also, please cite your sources since I do not believe these numbers were measured by you.

I'd have to say the output data obtained there isn't a good way at all to judge the blasters' performances, mostly because iSoaker's CPS 1200 model seems to differ from the majority (most people find that the 1200 is on par with the 1000 and 2100, but iSoaker's test only resulted in 8m of range; the difference betwee the 1000 and 2100 is very out there and I never managed to come up with a real good explanation for it) but also because even amongst the same model, performance can vary almost wildly. Plus anyone who wants to find iSoaker's measured outputs can simply look it up by themselves. =)

Supposedly, the CPS 2000 MKII still performs better than the 2500. From what I've worked with however, the difference seems to be negligible at least as far as output goes. Both appear to use the same bladder though that may not be the case. I don't know since I never looked to the bladders that closely and they could still vary for other reasons.

thanks for the welcome and 2000 mk2 info. From your experiance is the CPS 2500 definitly the second most powerful CPS super soaker after the CPS 2000 mk1/mk2 ?

I believe the 2500 is slightly less powerful than the 2000 MKII and most people agree. However, the MKI is definitely the most powerful out of all three.

Of course, a homemade can easily outrange any CPS. The ball valve used in homemades allows for much better flow and the piping is much sturdier. But the CPS 2000 MKI remains the most powerful water blaster ever manufactured and ever will be.

By power, I mean a general combination of range, output, and pressure. It's a fairly general term and there's probably a better definition for it that I'm not thinking of right now.

Isoaker.com...I love this side, it was my beginning... :D Many thanks to its "father" !!!!

I realized that my CPS 3000 is a special gun, firing chamber is nearly 1 litre(984 ml), output at 20 X:: is 650 ml and the backpack holds 9 litre and some ml...I do not know why, but it is great ! :)
