Cps 2100
So I have just finished K-Modding my Cps 2100 with 29 balloons (one broke ). When it could only pump twice without the check valve releasing pressure, I decided the best thing to do was to do a Check Valve Freeze, so I did. I smothered the trigger valve with Plastic Welder so it wouldnt break. Do I need to reinforce anything else and how? Also, my main question, how many times should I pump for the maximum PC water amount and maximum range without a risk of breaking the gun? Thanks!

The trigger valve of the CPS 2100 is the smaller stronger kind in my opinion. That wasn't needed. My CPS 2100 has 30 balloons in it's chamber and no freeze (partial K mod for now, I've got 45 more balloons and a freeze planned). It works just fine, possibly yours had something screwed up with the check valve so freezing probably was a good idea.
I would recommend putting 30-40 more balloons in the chamber if you froze the check valve.

Yeah I'm planning on putting on some more balloons. Though it was pretty tough just to put on the first 30! I think those pearlized balloons are thicker or something. Again, how many times should I pump (with my 30 balloons)? Does that number change when I have more balloons on? And again, do I need to reinforce anything?
It was strange with my 30 balloons on without the Check Valve Freeze (I'm not going to test my gun with the freeze until tomorrow, waiting for the Plastic Welder to dry) and the two pumps I could get in before the check valve kicks in, I could get the gun to shoot almost 50 feet! Now I'm kind of convincing myself that these pearlized balloons are thicker.

based on dux's 65 balloon k-mod I would say 15-20 pumps.
It couldn't be as hard as putting on 67 9" balloons! (I got blisters on both my pinkies!

I've must have gone through hundreds of balloons while K modding. I think I even managed to get some on my 2700 no cut, if you want to know hard then try that. I to this date have not found it hard at all or got any blisters or anything. <_< Maybe I just have the right technique or I am stronger or something.
If it leaks, find the leak and epoxy it after sanding. Or be blaze and use plastic welder. Remember, it can hold 1000 psi more than epoxy, even though your soaker will never even approach 1000 psi. Wasted money!

Putty epoxy to cap off the valve what? What are you talking about? Cap off? I covered the trigger valve with plastic welder and Doom said it was strong anyways so now its extra strong. Is that what you were talking about?Originally posted by RacerSoaker445@Jun 23 2004, 07:20 AM
Blaze,
Use Putty Epoxy to cap off the valve in the 2100, I have a pic of what it looks like after you put the epoxy on somewhere... (Doom..)
the gun shoots about 54 feet to the last drop and about 50 to the biggest puddle (as Doom would say...)
btw, for some reason after about 17 pumps it gets extremely difficult to pump so I stop. I think it might be the balloon hitting the walls of the pc, so thats why I Don't pump it any more than the amount that it is normal.
ps: im going to add 30 or 40 more balloons I will report with the new stats when I get them.

Well what I did was simple: I broke the track for the pump at the very end. This doesn't affect pumping at all, since the break is past where the pump could go. I tried to pry the pump cap off but it was practically welded to the plastic, and I had nothing to pry against. Then, the stupid nozzle cover was in my way whenever I was putting the soaker back together, so I got out my pliers and broke that off. It's not as nice looking as before, but hey--performance is what counts, and mine is awesome.

Wow, if you do that many something will give. With 69 balloons on my new 21k, power can be achieved by only 4 pumps, but for the maximum 10 is enough.based on dux's 65 balloon k-mod I would say 15-20 pumps.
A stock 2100 gets hard to pump after 17. You shouldnt be pumping it more than 15 times.btw, for some reason after about 17 pumps it gets extremely difficult to pump so I stop. The cap must be glued on. Saw into it so that it is cut down the middle, no more is needed as a split in the middle will allow the casing to come apart.I am goign to K-Mod my 2100, one I get the stupid pump cap off. I have tried everything, but nothing seems to work.

What size balloons are you using? 12"? I was using like 6". And it was hard. Plus I bought 75 of them and 11 of them broke.Originally posted by DoomSoaker@Jun 23 2004, 10:08 AM

Yep, 12" is what I've been using. I said that in the article too. I've tried 6" but I didn't think they would work very well on the PC so I used 12". They probably broke because they were too small for the chamber. Get some 12" and you won't have any problems with that unless your PC for some reason is twice as large as it's supposed to be.
