first of all, my 4100 is fixed and good to go
thank u everybody
now, I want to k mod my 2100 (that I got from Sports Authority )
I have a few Qs about it:
1) I know k modding increases output but what about range?
2) does k modding decrease a soakers shot time?
3) what is the optimal number of balloons to be used?
A Question About The K Mod

Range: The range on my old 21-k is 58.6ft. The range boost is possibly the best result of the mod.1) I know k modding increases output but what about range?
It usually decreases because the output is increased. However, the shot time is not really affected on a k-modded 2100.2) does k modding decrease a soakers shot time?
As many as wish. I used 68 on my first 21-k, 69 balloons on my 2nd 21-k. If you freeze the check valve you can use 45-80. I would say 60-70 is a good amount.3) what is the optimal number of balloons to be used?
Also, check out the physical characteristics of your 2100. Each 2100 is unique and no two of them are alike. Before you mod it, see if the pump cap will come off. If it won't, then it is glued, you will have to saw part of it off. Look at the size of the pc as well-some are larger than others. Use 12 inch balloons becuase they are easier to get on. Good Luck!

Remember this rule (applies as long as the PC size is constant):
More output = less shot time
therefore
Less output = more shot time
That's one of the basic rules defined by soaker statistics.
The increase of the power in the shot (caused by increased output) causes the range boost. People say that the nozzle size of a CPS 2100 already is ideal for range when K modded. There is a perfect nozzle size of every gun, one where the range will be the best. Go over that, or under, and it will decrease.

[at] one of the admins: I think this topic should be pinned. It would help people who are or thinking about k-modding for the first time. It would also be easier, as they could look here instead of constantly posting new k-mod topics.
